The Tennis and Pickleball Club at Newport Beach

Joining the Newport Beach Tennis & Pickleball Club about a year ago was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I’m absolutely obsessed. The location is unbeatable—right along the coast with that refreshing ocean breeze and beautiful weather almost year-round. It’s also super convenient, just minutes from my office. For the value, especially if you’re playing three to four times a week like I do, the membership is very reasonably priced. But what really sets this place apart is the community. I joined solo, not knowing a single person, and within a couple of months I had built a network of 20+ friends I could text or call for a game. The members are welcoming, social, and it’s incredibly easy to get plugged in through group chats, ladders, tournaments, and pickup games. And it’s gone beyond just pickleball. I’ve made friends I hang out with outside the club—we grab dinner, mastermind, collaborate on work. As a real estate agent, I’ve even made great professional connections and referral partners here. It’s more than just a club—it’s truly a vibrant community. If you’re looking to stay active, meet new people, and fall in love with pickleball (or tennis), this place is a gem. I’m proud to be a member and excited to be part of it for the long run.

The Tennis Club now has pickleball too ! They are great for teaching and coaching tennis players and children. Watching them play is amazing. And they added two clay courts. They are one of the best pickleball clubs in the country. They have over 30 courts with great nets and lighting. The courts are busy but you can reserve courts. Plus there’s a restaurant bout in - the Clubhouse Grill

From a distance, the club is large with plenty of courts and looks nice. However, this is far from the “country club” vibe that it’s trying to go for. First off, the food is awful here. Chicken was bland. The rice that came with my lunch was hard and if anyone actually tasted the food before serving it, they would know. This is by far the worst club food I’ve had. As a cherry on top, I saw a mouse next to the clubhouse grill by the tree. Food is literally being prepared right next to it. So gross. I also had their tacos before and I’m convinced that prison food is probably better. The bathrooms are a joke. They have two stalls for the women’s and a while back they were renovating and we were expecting an expansion. They put a coat of white paint and changed the doors and now call it a Women’s Lounge. We still only have two stalls. This place runs tournaments with 1,000+ attendees. As long as you are there to play and not eat or pee, you should have a pleasant time.

This is a bootleg establishment. ZERO professionalism and zero class! No one answers any phones for hours and 3 days straight, I personally go up there and the rudest stuck up person ever greets us. Treats me like a beginner asking if I want group lessons, I’m a 6.0 trying join what are you talking about. The tennis courts were mid and old. Facility looked bad trash every where. Who would pay for this? Better facilities at local parks and zero rudeness! Yall ain’t cool
