Working with Coach Dean over the past month has been an absolute game changer for my pickleball game. He is incredibly attentive to what I specifically need to work on and doesn’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. What really sets him apart is that he actually takes the time to come watch me play, then builds my coaching and drilling plan based on what he sees on the court. That level of care and attention makes a huge difference. Given his experience, Coach Dean doesn’t just teach shots—he teaches strategy. He’s helped me understand how to build a point and play with intention so I can actually win points, not just hit the ball hard. Like many 3.5 players, I used to rely heavily on drives and power. Since working with him, I genuinely feel like I’m playing pickleball the right way. He’s helped slow my game down, taught me patience, and completely transformed my soft game. My dinking has improved tenfold—to the point where I now truly understand how to dink and how to win a dink battle. My drops are significantly better thanks to his clear instruction and breakdown of technique. And before Coach Dean, I honestly didn’t even know what a reset was. Now I not only know how to reset the ball, but also when to reset, which has been huge for my consistency and confidence. Drilling with Coach Dean has been incredibly effective. The repetition, the feedback, and his willingness to keep demonstrating and correcting shots until I fully understand them has made a massive impact. I’m still putting in the work, but there’s no question that training with him has elevated my game. If you truly want to improve your pickleball game, get with Coach Dean.
