I competed in the Pickle Factory 2025 Bel Air Classic tournament. In the Men’s and Mix doubles 3.0-3.49 division. I was able to place 1st in the Men’s and 2nd in the mix doubles. The Tournament Directors Cameron, Mark, and the rest of the Pickle Factory team ran the tournament smoothly. The facility courts is smooth, the indoor lighting is great, and the competition was fun! I drove a hour and a half from New Jersey to compete in this tournament. I will definitely drive down to compete again! The second floor of the facility is a nice place to watch competitive games, and stretch. Also, there is a bar you can grab a refreshing drink. There is also a WaWa right before the facility if you need to get food or drinks before your game play! Overall, I highly recommend to play at this facility. I cannot thank the staff for a wonderful experience. The Pickle Factory in Bel Air Maryland is worth the drive to play!
Great place for pickleball. Nice facility with 9 courts and mezzanine area with comfortable seating for watching. Also has bar with wine and beer. I have only visited for tournaments so not sure of membership offerings or any of the day in day out play at the club. Would and plan to visit again.
Great Facility and even better people. In town to watch my son play baseball up the road at Ripken and was able to jump in an early morning group. Great leveled play, 1st class facility and the staff was on point and knowledgeable. Will definately be back!
My husband and I thought that Pickleball is a social and INCLUSIVE sport that welcomes player of all skill levels. We have been playing for 7 months now. We pickle from one place to another (Dill dinkers Columbia, Finksburg, Pickleball House, outdoors 2-3x a week) We saw picklefactory, perhaps we can visit it even its far away from us. First time playing at Picklefactory at High intermediate level (3.75). It was a good experience — Thats why we joined another open play 2nd time around. Second time — we joined a 4.0 because we thought that coming from 3.75, a 4.0 open play would challenge us more. But it was a nightmare. A nightmare because — After scanning our Courtreserve barcode - we were approach by the director and was told WE CANT PLAY IN 4.0. That we should only be playing at high intermediate. We just said ok with a broken heart. But was feeling discouraged the whole time. How can someone just judge us like that after one open play? To think we did reallyyyyy good. We didnt even get a chance to prove ourselves at 4.0. I would have stepped out and left, but paying for the open play and travelling 40min from our place to this place will all be wasted. My husband and I WILL NEVER PLAY here again. And we will make sure our friends know it too. Update: 07/11/24 The owner responded below. I totally agree with competing with the same levels if EACH and EVERYONE signed up for the day can prove they really belong on that level. If thats the case -we will respectfully acknowledge it. But guess what, that was not the case. We were not told this. We were just told as soon as we stepped in the building that we cannot play on that level (without even asking our dupr level?) A coach from your company after hearing our story even said majority of players signed up that day are not 4.0 😊but I bet they were not told to not register in that level. I wonder if you have the effort to ask each of us our official dupr rating before signing up. But that’s all. Never again.
So there I was … attending an introductory class with the boss, Director Joe. What a fantastic place, experience and step by step instruction. Greeted with smiles and very welcoming conversation. Joe showed us the court layout, explained the rules. He led a warmup then hand tossed the ball to start. Progressed to paddle then serving the ball. Dinked a little near the kitchen, then low pressure game play. Joe was always positive and upbeat during the into lesson and provided excellent feedback! Absolutely highly recommend Pickle Factory and especially Joe!
