DICK'S Sporting Goods

It’s that time of the year again when the kiddos need summer clothes. I decided to check out the Dick’s Sporting Goods store in Springfield, VA. First, there was a ton of parking, both open and covered garage. Space with charging stations as well within walking distance of the front entrance. The store itself is enormous, with so many diff areas depending on your shopping needs. This particular store location has both bikes and fishing, camping gear. Not all store have that section. The clothing selection was vast, and the number of store associates who approached me asking if I needed assistance was awesome. There was very experienced cashier, “Ada” that took care of me. Within minutes I was greeted, checked out and all tags and sensors were removed. Would also recommend the sales associate with the black/green hair. She helped me find the “ONE” pair of shorts that my son requested that was in the store. Totally rate this shopping experience a 10/10 for overall shopping experience, customer service, restroom cleanliness, and store appearances. If you need sporting goods, please check out the Springfield, VA store, you will not be disappointed. Enjoy!

I went to this Dick’s Sporting Goods hoping to be in and out fairly quickly — unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Pros: • The store is clean and well-organized. Cons: Despite having plenty of associates on the floor (which you’d think is a good thing), not one asked if I needed help or even looked up. I walked past at least five employees who were mostly on their phones with their heads down. I headed to the cleats section, stood there for about 10 minutes, and two associates walked by without saying a word. Eventually I had to interrupt someone who was again on their phone just to ask for help. He radioed for someone and walked off. After a while, another associate finally came, went to the back, and brought out what I needed. When it was time to check out, there was only one cashier working, again, despite the fact that the store had plenty of staff around. Honestly, it left me wondering what everyone else was doing. It was pretty much everyone walking around on their phones pretending to be fixing clothes or putting up clothes. Overall, the store itself is fine, but the customer service could use A LOT of improvement.

Jacob was super helpful and was one stop shopping! I had a shoe return which he handled rapidly. Then he helped me order two pairs of shoes for home delivery and by ordering in store in their system, I saved on shipping! Thanks for the expertise and superior customer service Jacob!

I bought a Nishiki bicycle 🚲 in July. Within a month, while riding the screw came out and fell on lake accotink trail. The bike itself is of good quality but the issue is with the assembly the staff did

Waited for ages to get someone to come open the fitting room. When they finally came they gave the open fitting room to someone else despite having waited for so long. Then they left while we had to go find another fitting room and call them back. If you're able, go to the one at Fair Oaks instead. They have much better options and their staff is amazing.
