DICK'S Sporting Goods

Normally this location has competitive prices on their products but I would avoid purchasing Pokemon cards here at all cost. I didn’t realize the 300% markup they have on their Pokemon cards. I picked up a 6 pack booster bundle here thinking I was getting the standard retail price but when compared to the official Pokemon vending machine the difference is $49 dollars. The retail price is $26 dollars and Dicks is charging $75. Every business has a right to set the price but at least let the customer understand there is a 300% markup so they can make an informed decision. Highly recommend price checking any purchase you make at this store.
Dick’s Sporting Goods in Delta Shores Shopping Center is a massive store with almost everything sports related items in there. The layout of all the departments is easy to navigate. The store looks modern and concise. However, Dick’s Sporting Goods is the same as most of the big box stores. I don't feel a personal touch in the store. No greeting when I come in the front door. Not a single worker offered assistance. Also, some of the name brands are available online at the Dick’s Sporting Goods website only. Not found in the stores!
I ordered a golf club online from Golf Galaxy. The item shipped from the Delta Shores Dick’s Sporting Goods store in Sacramento. Upon delivery of the club, I noticed some significant issues. The box that was delivered was noticeably curved at the club head location. When I picked it up by the end the box separated and dropped to the ground. This was because the box the packed the club in was too short, but instead of sourcing a properly sized box the shipper fixed the club into the box that was too small both in width and length. Their solution they decided on was to tape a cutoff piece of another similar box and tape it on the end. The club inside was intact however I questioned the integrity of the graphite shaft due to the stress caused by the packaging as well as the shipping process itself. There was no bubble wrap, air pockets or paper as typically seen with golf clubs being shipped. I am certain this is not the intended box as the one I received is likely used to ship baseball bats, evidenced by the product is labeled: DSG00BAT I called customer service and explained my situation in detail, and provided numerous photos that were taken prior to unboxing. I requested a replacement and was willing to comply with whatever was necessary on my end. After multiple conversations back and forth with customer service they essentially told me the club was not broken so they wouldn’t do anything. I spent $262 on a golf club that was packaged carelessly so ultimately I decided I do not want that particular item. I am returning the club and purchasing another from a different retailer. The lack of customer service and displayed operating procedures have left a lot to be desired, and left me full of doubt regarding the quality of service this retailer is providing. I would not want anyone other customers to run into this type of situation and would recommend steering clear of Dick’s and Golf Galaxy as they are one and have shown to not put customers first in their business model.
Went to dicks sporting goods to get some shoes. The guys who was helping me in the back was great. Diamond who checked me out at the cashier was super sweet. Very professional and customer friendly. Thank you diamond!
I did end up making a purchase, but it was an impulse and not what I came there for. Shoe department needs serious help. Online this store offered the exact product and had it available. 7 minutes later the product was never there. Bait and switch? I arrived and, silly me, I forgot about back to school shopping! Not good! Just when I was ready to leave the department a spotted a sales person. I thought I was courteous, when I asked for his assistance. The salesperson, instead offered an arm wrestling contest. He insisted on shaking my hand. What was that. Anyway, of course, he couldn't (or wouldn't) help. This place is overrated and overpriced. Im doing all my non consumables shopping online. Brick and mortar service is dead!
