Windmill Pointe Park

Windmill Pointe Park is a fantastic spot for Grosse Pointe Park residents! The grounds are well-maintained, and the recent installation of new playgrounds is a big plus for families. The marina is lovely, although getting a well can be a bit challenging. Fishing here is a hit with the kids, providing a fun outdoor activity. The Olympic-size swimming pool is a highlight—it's such a nice facility! Just be sure to check the swim teams' schedule, as they often take over the pool. The kids' pool is wonderful too, featuring a gorgeous fountain that adds to the charm. While the movie theater is a nice accommodation, it could use some updates. The seats are getting old and aren’t very comfortable. Also, the frequent "running out" of popcorn is frustrating, and I believe they really should invest in a soda fountain to enhance the movie experience. The park also offers tennis courts, volleyball courts, a gym, and a hall that can be reserved for events like weddings and celebrations of life, though keep in mind that you have to handle your own catering. For kids, the concessions are a hit with endless slurpees and great French fries! Overall, Windmill Pointe Park is a great place for recreation and family fun, but a few improvements could take it to the next level!

Great park for a picnic 2nd year attending!

This is a beautiful and peaceful park to hang out at. They have a nice swimming pool, concession stand, movie theater, volleyball court, park benches, docks, tennis courts, and playscape. I took karate and tennis lessons for years here.

This is a park for residents only. As can be expected given the city it is for, it is a nice place. We came as guests just for the pool. The pool is large with a lot of different areas. The diving area has two boards.

A wonderful place for a wedding or event. Right on the water, a nice patio and plenty of space outside to move around! Lovely across the board. This was my brothers wedding and their setup. The patio you can see through the windows.
