West Sacramento Recreation Center

The West Sacramento Rec is a well kept and maintained place to workout, swim, play basketball, rock climb, and I'm sure there is more. An added bonus for all of those who have teenagers it is a safe place they can do workouts on their own after school. Or anytime they're open.

Great pool facility! A group of us from the River City Rowing Club came over to perform swim tests and they were very helpful and kind to secure lanes for us and have the lifeguard sign forms. Their pool is heated which felt great to swim in!

It was my first time going to the West Sacramento Rec Center. I went solely to go to Renee's yoga class. 🧘🏽‍♀️ It was my very first yoga class. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Renee is absolutely amazing. I may not be ready for this yoga class, (the warm up was great for me, but once warm up is done, they transition to other positions pretty quickly, i went at my own pace and wasnt able to do everything) but Renee is so calm, has a great sense of humor, has great taste in music, and gives good directions. I highly recommend. I noticed while I was there, they had a gym, inside basketball court and so much more. I'll have to go back and check them out again. I'm sure this place is super popular after the high school let's out and durning the summer. They have outdoor pools and water slides.

This is for the cardio/weight room only, machines take for ever to repair, AC breaks during the summer but the worse part is teenagers from the high school show up to just to hang out and hog machines. They have their own gym but after school they linger at this gym, additionally they litter the floor with chip bags and other garbage, do not clean machines.

This pool is a great place to cool off on a hot day. It is clean and well-maintained, and there is plenty of space to swim and relax. However, it can get crowded, especially on weekends. There is also not enough shade, so it can be quite hot during the day.
