Warren Parks & Recreation Department

What is with Warren and cutting down literally every tree they can? Here’s just another example at the Civic Center. Becoming less and less of a place people want to come to. Who wants to spend time at a tree-less concrete desert? Looks and feels terrible. The cones in the photos are hiding stumps of trees. A new addition seems to be the bench in the photos — I don’t recall it being there when the trees lined the sidewalk. In what world do people enjoy sitting in benches underneath street… sidewalk lights in the burning sun?

The library and fitness center are great. I don't know about the pool or other activities but the place is always neat and everyone is pretty helpful. I much prefer the fitness center here than other gyms because it's usually not too crowded, there are no 'trainers' to pester you and the equipment is sufficient for my needs.

They offer soo much there it's truly amazing. Different water and land aerobic classes. Body pump,Zumba,Yoga,Line Dancing,Pickle,Bingo,Card playing. Great library,Fitness Center,Sauna,Steam Room,Arts and Crafts.....Different events. The instructors teach modified versions for all physical levels. Super place to be.

TONS of things to do for little $. $25 for adult non-resident and $3 per child. Nice pool area, sauna, hot tub, TONS of events and classes included. MUST SEE. this place is nice and very well maintained. MUCH better than the YMCA. HIGHLY recommended.

The parka and the parks dept and its workers are some of the best from top to bottom . But thing i must say needed to be addressed is 1 of the summer leagues for teens and kids for baseball . That being the wvac which i played in as teen and coached and managed in from 2010 till 2019 . Ive seen 1st hand over yrs how things are ran and fully support the parks dept just wish we had more responsibly ran leagues with real governing body that listened and was open to suggestions. That though isnt on the parks and rec again they do a fabulous job giving the funds they have and there workers have always been the best always helpful and respectful.
