The Picklr Newtown

I joined the unlimited membership plan. It's not the cheapest but if you play a couple times a week and take advantage of the perks it's totally worth it. Open Play is very sociable and fun. The employees are very friendly and courteous. I have no regrets joining. I'm sure I'll be a long time member.

Nice courts, brand new. They need far more acoustic treatments. It’s loud to the point it’s difficult to hear the score. Limited seating outside of the main courts while waiting.

Facility and staff are amazing. Opens at 6am and closes at 11pm to work with anybody’s schedule. Programs book up way too fast so either book in person or check throughout the week to see if people drop. Court rentals are a breeze and through this place I’ve met some people and we play regularly with no issues. If you are a novice or advanced this place has what you are looking for.

The Picklr is a very nice facility for those of all levels to play pickleball. Staff are friendly and you are able to reserve courts around your schedule. Only 2 downsides are 1) the price of membership, $150+ a month seems pretty steep, especially for a student like me who is low income, would love to see it reduced or more membership plans offered. 2) Programs tend to book up very quickly, so if you were wanting coached gameplay, expect to wait 2 weeks for something to be available.

Nice facility. Courts are good and the flooring are great. A great place to hang out, relax and play pickle ball
