This facility is wonderful and I have played here many times and enjoyed myself. The two men who typically run the day-to-day operations of the club, Hamilton and Alex, are kind, professional, knowledgable employees who will learn your name and have always done everything they can to make sure their customers have a fun tennis game. I believe I have only had positive experiences until one day. This past week, one of the owners, Shaun, decided he wanted to get involved in what goes on without having actual knowledge about his customers. After playing in a tennis game, I accidentally exited a side door that I did not know I was not supposed to use and he BANNED me from the facility. As it turns out, there was NO signage saying I couldn’t go out the side door. Shaun didnt call me directly and even tell me I was banned. He called people that I had tennis games scheduled with and told them that I was banned, had not paid my bill and purposefully snuck out a side door. As it turns out, my card was not working because one of their employees had checked a box incorrectly while trying to run my card. I had vigorously tried to pay my bill and gave them multiple credit card numbers, which did not work because this employee doesn’t know how to use their point of sale system. This did not get resolved until Hamilton uncovered why my credit card had not been working. So, instead of speaking to me directly, Shaun called people I played tennis with and told them I was banned. Then, hours later, when this had been resolved, he was too scared to call me directly and own up to his mistake. He had Alex call me and tell me that I was no longer banned from the facility. Alex handled it professionally as usual. As I mentioned, Alex and Hamilton are great, but I will not give a dollar to TCH anymore knowing it might go in his pocket.
Office and restrooms are renovated. Clay courts in good shape. There are many classes offered as well as social events, tennis ladder, team play.
First time attempting to play here and the club has a great location right on the water. The people I've encountered working the front desk are also quite nice. That being said, I'm feeling disappointed as I had a court booked at 6am today until 7:30. We got there around 5:45 am and the person working front desk wasn't there until around 6:35 am. I understand mistakes happen and the person working the front desk was nice enough to offer us the court for free for an hour, but couldn't extend us for the 1.5 hours. Not sure why we were getting penalized for the mistake, we ended up playing elsewhere. In the future, I would like to try to give the club another shot. But for now, this is the rating. --- EDIT: We did give the club another shot and it was a pleasant experience. We would like to try to come back again when it's not indoor season!
Nice location. People running USTA tournament are great at it. Very attentive. From competing we learn that the lines on the court stick out little much and the courts are kinda close next to each other from what we are used too. I would give 4 stars but because very attentive stuff + 1 = 5
