The new playground is awesome! I had many childhood birthday parties at this park and now that I'm bringing my own child I am so happy with the improvements they have made!

I don't play pickle, but this is a nice park, I walk it daily. There's always a game going when I pass by

Nice park. Open, definitely needs more pickleball and tennis courts. 2 pickleball and 1 tennis that I saw.

Great park, XL open grassy area, two playground equipment setups, one for smaller kids, long perimeter concrete path, tennis courts, basketball courts, shade trees, covered picnic tables, bathrooms & off street parking

When I called the Peoria Parks & Rec dept. a few years ago, there were just 2 Tennis courts at Sundance Park. I talked with Mr. Jake Eason at the time. I understand he has since moved. However, he promised to convert one of the Tennis courts to 2 Pickleball courts. I impressed on him that they were pretty much sitting idle except for when they were being abused by kids on bikes, scooters and the like. Consequently the nets were also getting ruined. He seemed to be excited at my suggestion and told me they’d be in place in 2 months. Well a month and a half later they were in place and ready to play on. It’s been my experience that most people aren’t interested in being part of the effort/initiation and process. They’re pretty much in it for themselves. No wurriez, I’m that person that likes to begin and see the process to completion. I paid a few visits when they worked on it and monitored the progress. Let me just say that I am quite tickled to see people come and play and enjoy PB due to our foresight and effort to make it possible. It is a tribute to our fair city and its P&R dept. for making it happen. Oh btw, one other thing. I have been instrumental in having Walmart making Pickleball equipment available to consumers as well. It is the only big box chain that does. Now recently I hear that Sam’s Club is offering it as well. I figured once we got the ball rolling, it would just simply be a matter of time for that to happen. All of it is easier to sell to anyone since PB is insanely popular and growing leaps and bounds esp if more of us pitch in. It is the most popular game/sport in the US and unlike any other. Multi generational for obvious reasons. Great for socializing and affordable exercise in a great setting both indoors as well as outdoors. A very wonderful addiction to have for mental and physical well being. Cheers! Arun Singh (PB Coach Potato/ambassador)
