MON 2025.07.14 after my walk at Harrisburg Park, ~07:40 i came to Stallings Road Park for a "cool down" walk. The Park was well-maintained and clean. Encountered only ~2 people on-the-trail. And noticed many Tennis Players in theTennis Courts.
Stallings Road Park in Harrisburg, NC, is truly a hidden gem and one of the best-kept secrets in the area. Whether you’re visiting with kids, going for a peaceful walk, or looking for a place to enjoy a family picnic, this park checks all the boxes. It’s clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed to cater to all age groups. The playground is excellent, featuring modern, safe equipment that keeps children entertained for hours. There’s a great mix of climbing structures, slides, and swings, with a soft surface underneath to cushion any falls. The walking trails surrounding the park are paved and shaded by mature trees, making them perfect for a morning jog or evening stroll. Stallings Road Park is a true local treasure.
This park is nasty. The bathrooms are disgusting. toilets are not cleaned and won't flush. There's ants all over the sink. The trash hasn't been emptied outside and it's spilling all over the sidewalk. The landscaping is messy. The grass hasn't been mowed. There's mulch spilled all over the sidewalk. Very disappointing. 7-10-25
Great little playground. Clean and in good shape. Benches for parents and a as my son calls it “floor is lava” obstacle course. There are swings for big kids, a handicap swing, and one baby swing that the parent can sit on. The bathroom is right beside the playground. There is also corn hole (we didn’t see bean bags tho), tennis courts, baseball fields, and a covered picnic area with a drink machine. There is plenty of parking on a normal day but I imagine it gets crowded if there are baseball games or on the weekend. We came on a Thursday morning and no one else was there.
Fun park to go to, especially when it gets dark as the court lights stay on later than other parks. The pickleball selection isn’t the greatest, as it is on the tennis courts, but it still is good. Have had good memories at this park over the years and the latest renovations were much needed. All in all good park.
