SportsPlex at Metuchen

First time visiting played volleyball last Wednesday night got there a little early walked around Facil are clean up-to-date. It was a pretty active night with rollers skaters soccer players volleyball players bathrooms were clean. Staff was very helpful and I’m grateful to the person who gave me a little bag of icefor my twisted ankle. Parking was a little bit of a challenge but a lot was very well lit. I’ll be back.

Hello readers, please take the time to read this review about this disgusting facility. I’ve been looking for a new spot to go after i’ve moved closer to the edison/metuchen area. I used to go to the wall super dome spot. I just want to say this place is disgusting. I have seen little mice running around this place. Not once not twice but on several occasions. And i’ve mentioned it to the workers at the front counter and one of them shrugged his shoulders and giggled at me and said “i just work here but i will let the manager know.” Crazy how you guys can sell snacks, food, etc with rats running around your place , without informing the regular customers that you have coming in and out the door every single day that there are mice and rats running around. Not to mention the little kids who are there who don’t know that either. You go to use the restrooms and it’s always smelling like garbage in there, one of the stalls is always clogged, one of the urinals are always out of service, so in a facility that holds maybe around 300 people, you only have 2 workers stalls? But very quick to take customers money when it’s time to pay dues. How about you use some of that money and update your maintenance so customers don’t feel uncomfortable and disgusted trying to use the bathroom. All this money can’t afford to pay someone to take care of maintenance or you guys simply don’t care about your customers and just want their money??? Another thing i’ve been there for basketball pick up and many other occasions and on a couple of the workers i’ve smelt alcohol on their breathe. And i even told my colleague that and he went up to the same two people, and confirmed with me that they are 100% drinking on the clock. Maybe the management team or even the owner should check the cameras and they’d see their workers getting drunk on the clock. Oh wait they can’t check them because, my friend got his car hit couple months ago in the parking lot, and he filed a complaint to front desk team and managers and they told him, “cameras don’t work” so i guess they have camera’s there just to pretend and show that they have them for display. Great work Sportsplex. This place is a complete joke, clearly they are there for the paycheck and for taking customers money without fixing any of the necessities that a working facility that is 7 days running should have. Another thing in the summer time forget even walking in those doors. The A/C hasn’t worked for 3 summers and counting. I’ve complained and so have my friends and they just tell us it’s being handled. But again 3 summers and nothing has been done. God forbid i am playing pick up and i faint from heat exhaustion because they do not care for customers well being. Not to mention as well the terrible odor of sweat because there is no circulation in that facility what so ever. What are they going to tell someone if they faint because they can’t maintain their own A/C system? Wonder what will happen then. TOO BE CONTINUED ON NEXT REVIEW.

I love that this place is always open. School closes due to weather, I know where to find my child. Its always a pleasure talking with the young lady at the front counter.

This place is the go to for Soccer! The staff here are extremely nice and the fields are also really good. One of my senior friends kicked his ball into the ceiling by accident but the staff was nice enough to get it down with an escalator. Really appreciate the extra effort. Heavily recommend!

Idk if there’s new management but now they’re mad strict and have people only allowed on bleachers which fine we’ll follow the rules but at least clean the windows so we can see the game clearly.
