Spokane Fitness Center

I've been a member here for a couple decades. You used to play decent music that appealed to all. Now, most evenings when I come to work out the music genre is dominated by hip hop and rap crap. Maybe this mindless, monotonous "music" appeals to some of your Gen Z members but it's irritating as hell to a broad segment of your more mature members. Get back to playing a better suite of music. Not sure I can take too much more of this hollow, repetitive, banal pop culture noise. Otherwise, you guys are doing a decent job. The new spin bikes are not nearly as comfortable as the old ones, however. Not sure what prompted that change. It would be nice if you had kept a few of the previous bikes for those of us who don't like this current Schwinn model. Sorry to sound bitchy, but just trying to give gut-level honest input.

Awesome place to be at, don’t be scared of the first timers fee, honestly doesn’t bother me after the second month and is probably the cheapest place around, just wish there were water bottle refilling stations in the gym.

Great place!! Great employees, clean, lots of equipment and affordable. We started with the month to month plan because my husband wasn’t sure if he would like it there, but we both love it and will switch to a yearly membership.

The schedule of classes is good for me. The Women’s center needs fans that work. 1 of 3 ceiling fans do not work. The teachers bring their own fan from home at times. Also the hand weights need to be updated and the Women's center needs to be expanded. The weight machines crowd the current space.

4/5 – Great gym overall, but some facility issues need attention I’ve been a member of Spokane Fitness for the past six months, and overall, it’s a solid gym that I enjoy going to. The quality of the equipment is top-notch — you can tell they regularly invest in upgrades and replacements. The facility is also consistently clean and well-maintained, which makes for a pleasant workout environment. That said, there are a few areas that need improvement. The men’s locker room has been partially under renovation for over six months, and many of the lockers are falling apart. There are very limited day-use options unless you pay for a rental, which is frustrating. The showers often have visible soap scum and the occasional flies, and that’s been a consistent issue throughout my membership. The parking situation during peak hours (around 5–7 PM on weekdays) is another challenge. It can be a real headache finding a spot, especially if you’re tight on time. The biggest letdown for me recently has been the men’s steam room. It was one of the main reasons I chose Spokane Fitness over other gyms in town. Unfortunately, it’s been out of service on and off for the past month. There was even a snarky message posted about not covering the sensor, but the fix only lasted a couple of days. It’s disappointing and has become a regular topic of frustration among other members in the locker room. I really hope management takes this feedback seriously — the rest of the facility sets a high standard, and the steam room should reflect that. Despite these issues, Spokane Fitness is still a far better experience than places like Planet Fitness or the overly sales-driven MUV Fitness. I genuinely love this gym and want to see it continue to thrive. I hope leadership sees this review and takes action, especially on the steam room — it’s a small fix that could make a big difference.
