This is a lovely neighborhood park in central Altamonte Springs that my fur baby and I enjoy strolling. It has just over a mile of scenic shaded paved trails, and is actually a section of the Wekiva Trail. There's ample parking, a playground, restroom facilities, a few covered picnic pavilions with barbecue grills, and basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts.

Sanlando Park is such a nice place to spend time outdoors! I walked the trail with my sissy. My niece, and partner played basketball. It was peaceful and well-kept. There are plenty of tennis courts and a great basketball area, so there’s something for everyone. Yes — they do have restrooms available, which is super convenient. Overall, a really nice park for walking, playing sports, or just relaxing with family.

Dogs are not allowed in the actual park. However you can park your car here if you’d like to access the trail with your dog. Love all the different sport areas. Ample parking. Nicely kept. Would visit again.

I was visiting Florida with my friend and cousin about a month and a half ago from Colorado while on a work trip, and we wanted to play pickleball. So we googled a pickleball court near us and found that this park was only about a mile from where we were staying. The park’s website showed that pickleball was offered there. Once we got there, we started playing pickleball, and one of the park rangers or managers came up to us and said we couldn’t play pickleball there. We were confused, so we said, “What?” very confused, because we thought we could play there since it said it was available on their website (the website no longer shows pickleball as available). Then he responded with, “Do you guys speak English?” which was a dumb thing to say to two Mexican guys and one white guy who were very obviously speaking English while playing. He also just said it in a very condescending way I cant say it was blatant racism. It seemed to be just a dumb mistake but still not the best way to say it. Then he told us pickleball ruins the courts and that we couldn’t play, so we just went and played basketball instead. The park was supposed to be open until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, and it was only 6:30. We played basketball for a little while, and then around 7:30, the lights for the entire park were shut off presumably by that same park employee well before the 8 p.m. closing time advertised online and on the park’s signs, with no warning. I wasn’t going to post this, but it’s been bothering me for a while. It doesn’t look good for Florida from a tourist’s standpoint. I can’t say I’d recommend going back to Altamonte Springs or any of their other county public parks after this experience if that’s how things are handled there.

We have had a few birthday parties here for our children and it has been great every time. We rented the pavillion which is right by the playground and located right by the parking lot too. The kids love the playground.
