Oak Summit Park

Used to be nice. Now it's run down and busy all the time., the top portion of the playground ia literally boarded up with plywood making 2/3 slides inaccesible. The kids and parents are loud and seemingly constantly cussing. Smell of weed and cigaretts are common. Graffiti ridden and rusty. I recommend other playgrounds in Winston.

SUPER COOL AMAZING FUN PLAYGROUND!!! 😮😮👍👍Don’t see too many full THREE-STORY high playgrounds today, but this one was AWESOME! We stopped at it right at dusk so it was turning dark, on our way home traveling through, but we were SO glad we stopped! I LOVE the way the whole place and all the equipment is spaceship-themed! Love it when cities do that with their playgrounds and theme it a certain subject matter. Super cool and FUN for the kiddos! Wish we had this park in OUR CITY!!! 🤣👍👍

My kids love this playground. The rocket is pretty cool and the slides are long. Tall kids might struggle going down the slide because of the sharp turns, but smaller kids will love them. There's a pavilion, baseball field, tennis court, and the park of course. It's not a bad park. My problem with this park is the past few time we've been there there's trash on the ground. It's not always the case, but it's probably one of the dirtier parks in the area we've been to recently. We were sitting there tonight getting ready to leave, and a guy threw garbage on the ground. He was probably 10 feet from the garbage can. Is it really that hard?! Geez! People also don't seem to clean up after their dogs either. We still love this park though.

Every kid of all ages was having a blast! With an excellent playground, tennis courts, baseball field and large covered picnic/bbq area this place just may be the best park in the area!
