McCarren Play Center

I love this gym! I’ve been going for a couple months now and I’ve never had a problem. I like how it’s free for everyone under 24 and you can use all locations with one membership. The staff is always nice and even during peak hours the gym is not crowded. Sure, they don’t have a lot of machines but you can get a good workout with what they have.

Super friendly and supportive staff / instructors. The 5 star rating is the least I can do for such a kindness. God bless you

This Recreation Center at Mc Carren Park with outdoor pool is clean and staffed by friendly helpful staff The workout rooms are equipped with basic machines and free weights and rooms for stRetching and exercising. It is well- maintained and Covid safe with wipes and distancing of machines The machines are older but usable and clean. There is also a free Media Center here for learning. Joining this year is FREE for one year , can’t beat this anywhere ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY !

I really love this place. Excellent exercise equipment. Great programs. Super CLEAN everything. The bathroom is spotless. Any water on the floor from the shower, the guy is right there with the mop. The lady that cleans is also right on top of things. Both are very friendly and so are the people working the desk. FANTASTIC computers and the people in charge there are super helpful. It's a great place. I wish I could get there more often. It deserves more than 5 stars. 👍 IT WOULD BE BETTER IF THEY REPAIRED SOME OF THE EQUIPMENT AND REPLACED THE SCALE.
