Really lovely park just renovated in 2025 with beautiful playground, lots of shade, covered area for eating, bathrooms, sand volleyball, pickleball, splash pad and sports fields. Only complaint is that google directions took me to the sports fields and it wasn’t clear that there was another parking lot closer to the playground.
1. Riverside Views - Overlooks the East River with beautiful skyline views - Great for sunrise/sunset walks 2. Playgrounds & Recreation - Kid-friendly playgrounds and open spaces - Basketball courts and seasonal pool access nearby 3. Peaceful Atmosphere - Less crowded than mainland Manhattan parks - Perfect for reading, strolling, or unwinding 4. Art Installations - Known for colorful seasonal art on nearby buildings - Adds a unique, creative feel
I watch soccer there and the water drainage is terrible. Even on the dryest day theres mud all along the field and it smells like mold
Nice little park with several fields (baseball & soccer) on one side, and an outdoor park and volleyball court on the other. There are two parking lots, one for each side, so be sure to map to the correct one. There are plenty of covered picnic tables near the playground for lunch, and a loop of walking trails on the back side of the park. The public bathrooms are also usually well maintained.
