Lubbock Indoor Pickleball

Hailing from Lubbock originally, I was so excited to see this place opened in my hometown. I played here four times while visiting from Austin on a short trip. I see some great indoor facilities in Austin and so I would say my expectations are not low. 🙃 And I was really impressed with my experience here! The owners are awesome and building a wonderful community. Everyone working at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and welcoming, too. There are so many different ways to play and get involved, but my favorite was Round Robin. They fill up but my experience was that if I added myself to the wait list, I got in every time. Love how well they cater to all levels at LIP. Great prices for drop-in and lessons. Nice pro shop and snacks available for purchase. I also took a lesson from Hunter who couldn’t have been nicer and really focused on helping with my technique. I heard all the coaches are great so you can’t go wrong. I’d encourage anyone to make time for lessons if possible. I can’t wait to come back here when I’m in town.

The instructors were super helpful and explained the game in a way that was engaging but not overwhelming! Great place! Highly recommend for a fun activity!

The owners have nurtured a robust, wholesome and welcoming community. Laughter, exercise and great social vibe. Great place.

We were traveling through and stopped in Lubbock overnight. We were SO excited when we found LIP. Do not let the building's exterior fool you. The outside it very non-descript, but you are transported as soon as you go inside. The vibrant colors are lively and welcoming, as are the staff, who greet you straightaway. The owner, Melissa, is warm and welcoming. We loved the friendly atmosphere and the care that has been put into this place! Just fantastic. There was a birthday party going on when we arrived, and as soon as that party was done, the staff was right there, cleaning up, including a thorough cleaning of the floor! IMMACULATE! They allow well-mannered leashed doggies inside (yeah!), and they had singles courts, which were perfect for us! And I just love, love, loved The Picky Pickle shop, which had the CUTEST stuff (not the boring Selkirk things you usually see); also online! I really want to see this facility succeed; wish it were in our town! Oh yeah, they gave us a great recommendation for dinner, too! We'll be back whenever we pass through Lubbock, and I will be ordering some of their cute items online, too!

I love the “short”owner. She has been nice with me since I arrive to the place. Best place in Lubbock to play the game.
