I can’t say enough great things about my experience with Coach James Avila at Lincoln Tennis Park! As a beginner, I’ve improved more than I ever expected thanks to his calm, encouraging approach and deep knowledge of the game. James has an incredible eye for spotting areas where I can improve and helps me work through bad habits in a way that builds confidence. He’s always on time, responsive, and dedicated—usually teaching on Court #21. Highly recommend him to anyone looking to take their tennis game to the next level.

Awesome lighted tennis courts but do book a reservation during the busy summer months! This Tennis Center offers 21 tennis courts in total (4 are with singles lines only, and 6 courts on the right are with the NovaPro Surface), 4 hitting walls (2 standalone walls, and 2 are on the courts.) For this year (2023) it added 4 new pickleball courts and 2 new bocce ball courts. Unfortunately they are not lit. When I was there last summer I saw a few US Open qualifiers warming up at this Tennis Center 🎾

Today someone stole our ball from outside the fence (not a usual case) however when leaving we reported it to the tennis team at the entrance. It was lady and an older gentleman. When we brought our concern to them, to my surprise, they offered us a can of balls (with apologies) Totally wasn’t needed- but we really appreciated the kind gesture offered by them. The team has always been very sweet and we have always had a great experience here. They do a wonderful job managing the reservations.

They have 21 courts to play tennis on, which makes it a to go place. You don’t have to worry about waiting for your turn and could call in advance and get your slot booked. They have really good management and courts are nicely maintained. Love coming here during the summers. Update: They have added 4 new pickleball courts as well.

These tennis courts are Jersey City’s hidden gem! I’ve been taking lessons with Coach James Avila for 2+ years now and absolutely love coming here. Coach James is the genuinely the best and has improved my game 100%. The courts themselves are very well maintained by Jack and his crew (Jack himself is a treasure). Gets busy in the summer but I’ve never not been able to get a court thanks to Cheryl and Lisa. I always look forward to playing here and come from downtown which is a very easy commute.
