This is beautiful regional park. The campground where we spent three days is excellent. Water and electricity are available, there is a dump station for your RV on the way out. But they do have very nice restrooms, available with a shower and hot running water. There's a really nice beach on the lake. With a swimming area and dock for fishing and kayaking and paddle boarding. I saw at least one large covered area with tables, For large group gatherings. This park has it all, and it's very nice and well kept.

One of the best hiking options we have within minutes of the city. When you arrive to the first parking lot you’ll find a playground, barbecue pits and a small beach area in front of the lake. When you take the trail to the left and into the Forrest, that’s when the magic begins ! Perfect for beginner hikers, kids and pets. I frequent this trail more than 10x a year because of how special it has proven itself to be. We’ve encountered all types of wildlife and formed the best memories along the path. Highly recommend.

The upgrades are very nice, shallower swim area perfect for kids. Does cost $10.00 to park but was well worth it. They have several new gazebos with tables, an accessible sidewalk to the docks and beach, docks to fish, launch kayaks (with an area to launch from the dock for those that struggle getting in your boat in the water). Outside of the swim area is perfect for paddle boarding or kayaking but not swimming, lots of seaweed.

Beautiful park with lots of lovely amenities. The hike up to Cedar Grove is peaceful and moderate, and you get to listen to the creek the whole way. Nice beach area and a decent amount of parking. Be on the lookout for deer, beavers, and moose!
