La Rinconada Park

La Rinconada Park feels like one of those neighborhood spots where you can slow down and enjoy a quieter side of Los Gatos. The park stretches along Smith Creek, with shaded oak trees and a paved trail that makes for an easy stroll or a short loop walk. Families often spread out on the open lawn for picnics or casual games, while birdwatchers linger near the creek to catch sight of woodpeckers or bluebirds. There are picnic tables with BBQ pits, a playground for kids, and even a tennis and pickleball court tucked into the grounds. Parking is simple along Granada Way, though the park doesn’t have restrooms, so it’s best suited for shorter visits. What stands out most is the balance of open space and natural woodland. It’s not a large or flashy park, but it offers a calm setting where you can connect with nature without leaving town. The bridges crossing the creek add a nice touch, giving you different perspectives of the landscape as you walk. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick walk, a family outing, or just a moment of quiet, La Rinconada Park delivers a sense of peace and community.
Most hardcore pickleball playing I’ve ever seen. The crowd gets so rowdy, you’d think it’s an NFL game… with the RAIDERS. This park is not appropriate to be holding such pickleball events. It’s unfair to the neighbors and public. It needs to be bigger! More courts! Bigger parking lots! PA speakers to announce eliminations TO THE ☠️
Avoid in early mornings and late afternoons as although a “kids park”, it is usurped by pickleball players during those hours. Also in need of traffic mitigation during those times, and is relatively unsafe for kids riding bicycles on the street. Too many unleashed dogs (town ordinance is curiously not enforced).
Hello all, LA Rincon ada Park, a small neighborhood Oasis located directly adjacent to La Rinconada Country Club and golf course. It's also at the very bottom of the Los Gatos Foothills. Has a single tennis court lots of pickle lessons that have been witnessed there, a small playground perfectly suitable for I'd say about the four to 10-year-old range although we as adults have had plenty of good time on the tire swing. There are I don't know exactly I mean maybe four or five picnic tables and barbecue stands right next to them most of them it's a fun place just to dash out in a nice summer evening and just roast some sandwiches together or a quick barbecue and put some burgers on enjoy yourself and then tried back to the house there's ample room to throw Frisbee's play bean bag games let your dog walk your dog around and you'll see many of those there in the afternoons and evening especially. Never have we found it to be too crowded or uncomfortable and and we've got to it gotten to interact with many really pretty and nice animals and their really nice owners. All in all it's a great place to just relax have a little get together whatever it is that you like to do take a pickle lesson and play some pickle, play some tennis or Walk, hike some Trails off in the Foothills behind it so go forth and be merry, get some, exercise fresh air and have fun!
The park is not very well taken care of. And for some reason with a playground, grills and picnic areas there are no restrooms. Not sure what is going on here.
