Hive Athletic

I signed up with Hive in January 2025 for indoor volleyball. After making a few friends and having a great time I decided to join more sports like pickleball, soccer and more volleyball. Everyone is super friendly and it's a great way to meet new people. Hive does a great job of encouraging social connections with events before and after games, plus holiday themed gatherings like Thanksgiving and Christmas parties. The refs are generally very nice (Bernie is the best!!) A few games have been shortened due to time constraints (playing to 21 or 15 points instead of 25) which is a bit disappointing. I hope this is something they improve moving forward since it's not the players' fault. We would love to play to 25! I also saw another review mention a low net at one of the gyms. That’s only happened maybe twice in the 8 months I’ve been playing so not a common issue. Overall I really enjoy this league and plan to keep signing up. Various sports to choose from, friendly people and lots of fun!

Stay very far away from this league. A cynical, if not sinister league, filled with annoying Hoboken-types that are very cliquish. They won’t pass to you if you're not from Hoboken, nor a nearby surrounding town. Some teammates will never even show up to a game! And I injured myself very badly playing here. Must be the old and outdated Weehawken turf field. Bad vibes all the way around. They wouldn’t issue me a refund either. Gold before Green!

I signed up for the Hive in August for the fall pickleball league. Being new to pickleball, I was a little nervous not knowing the rules, but the court manager explained everything very well! I love that the Hive gives me an opportunity to meet new people and be active! I’m looking forward to signing up for more leagues in the future

Joining this athletic sporting group in Hoboken has been one of the best decisions I've ever made! Not only have I stayed active and enjoyed some great competition, but I've also met the majority of my friends here. The weekend get-togethers with friends I've made through this group are always a blast. If you're looking for a fun, welcoming community in Hoboken, this is definitely the place to be! Highly recommend!

I joined Hive as I recently moved to Hoboken and I’m looking to meet new people. My volleyball league was really fun and I met some great people. I highly recommend this organization!
