Harris Whalen Park

Located across the street from an elementary school; couple of baseball/softball fields ⚾️ 🥎 tennis courts 🎾 basketball courts 🏀 playground 🛝 lodge available for social events as well; picnic tables are available. Dog friendly 🐕

It’s a nice local park with open fields, basketball/tennis courts and some nature trails. I often find myself here walking the peaceful nature trails.

Great Park other than the mosquitoes

This is a very nice park. The walking trails are wide and accessible, varied and rambling. It's not 5 miles of trails but it's a superbly enjoyable walk with enough options and scenery to be refreshing on each visit. The hillside has been a sledding favorite in the area for generations. In summer, a bench on the grass overlooking to the Bristol hills makes for a fine meditative spot. Across the ample parking lot from the bocce courts, there is one large pavilion between the playground and public restrooms. A space you can most often expect to share with others, but never crowded (except during sledding season).

Great and local park to walk through. There is at the top of the hill a trail going through the woods. I've seen a number of people enjoying walking their dog (on a leash). And a pavilion for picnics. One of my favorite places to walk to
