Hal and Berni Hanson Regional Park

This is a beautiful, green escape! It has a big pond with geese swimming peacefully, and the sunsets here are gorgeous. The hidden nature trail right next to the dog park is a lovely surprise — perfect for a quiet walk. The dog park itself is spacious and nicely wooded. I often come here to bike, relax, and just enjoy the calm vibe. Washrooms are open most of the time, which is super convenient. Overall, a wonderfully lush and serene park!

Looooove this park. It has not one but TWO playgrounds. The biggest one is bright green and next to the Splash pad on the North Complex location. A lot of climbing opportunities and slides. Theres also a toddler section. The second playground is smaller and on the South Complex location. This one looks like it’s intended more for toddlers with slides, a spinner and places to climb. Birney Park Review Hal and Birne park is an amazing spot for families! There is a fun splash water area for little kids, and restrooms are conveniently available onsite. The park has several soccer fields where multiple teams were playing at once, a basketball court, and a nice trail perfect for biking or walking. On the other side, you will find baseball fields where a few games were happening, and pickleball courts tucked away in the corner. It was pretty crowded since it was the weekend, but the atmosphere was lively and energetic. We even celebrated a few birthdays with fun games. Overall, I would definitely recommend this park for active kids and families who want to spend some quality time outdoors together. It is clean, spacious, and full of activities for everyone to enjoy!
