Gotham Pickleball

I’m very new to Pickleball, so I decided to take a beginner’s course and I was lucky enough to learn from Coach Adam. His teaching style is clear, encouraging, and incredibly effective. He helped me adjust and improve the areas I was struggling with, and I can confidently say that you’ll definitely understand and elevate your own game after learning with him. The court also provides equipment for trial use, and signing up for a class couldn’t be easier just grab your jacket and come to the court! I have no affiliation with the place; I’m simply sharing my genuine experience. My journey toward better health truly began when I took that first class here.

State of the art Pickleball space. Basic but solid for NYC I love that you can record your shots by tapping a button to the side of the court… or if you want to pay you could have your entire match sent to you, but the little excerpts are free for fun shots to share with friends… It’s a pretty basic space there’s not a ton of lounge area, but Decent ceiling height -enough space around the courts, digital entry- discount rates for playing off peak, I don’t have a 9 to 5 so I can go in the afternoon and play with lots of enthusiastic Pickleballers, there’s a citibike station right at the entrance so it’s easy to get to from subways. A large, simple, clean bathroom, water fountain with bottle filler… And the app they have shows you all the different activities that are happening so you can book it ahead of time. It’s pretty efficient. No food or bar… But on the same block and maybe a block down there’s tons of little places, including the Gutter, which is open late.

I've been enjoying the Instructional Beginner + Open Play with Coach Adam for a while now so thought I'd share a review that might encourage anyone who's on the fence to give it a try. Adam's contagious enthusiasm creates such a positive environment. He strikes a great balance between developing our skills to advance our game and keeping the experience fun. Adam is approachable, patient and our greatest cheerleader. Come out, you won't be disappointed!

Recently came to check out Gotham and it's become my new favorite pickleball facility. I'm a big fan of how technologically advanced this place is. They're integrated with PodPlay, so the scores are visible on a big screen throughout the games and you can grab replays from any point which can be seamlessly downloaded from the Gotham Pickleball app. A lot of the open plays are very reasonably priced. I would like to see more DUPR open plays during the weeknights on the schedule though. I do wish there was a little more seating and space to keep your bags, stretch, chill, etc, but overall I'm a big fan of this place. The community here is great and the vibes are always positive. Highly recommend everyone to check it out!

I played today for the first time at Gotham in LIC and loved it. It was the open session at 11AM. A decent amount of intermediates (which I am one) and had very little down time. Amanda runs the place at that time and was so pleasant and ensured I had a great time. I strongly recommend. Great experience for the price and I'll definitely be back.
