Cool and shaded park with nice playground for kids in Grand Prairie. Just a couple minutes from the YMCA. Guess what, it has a sand pool. It has picnic tables and pavilion if you like to have picnic meals here. There are nice looking trails into the woods but we have not tried them yet. (Look out for some rusted benches and monkey bars)
Great pickleball/tennis courts with good lighting for night play. Very popular. You can easily show up solo and find a game to join.
This is a very fun park for the entire family. Plenty of picnic tables to host an outdoor event. There are swings and slides. There are also tennis courts which is rare in Grand Prairie. Sidewalks are great for walking as well.
I use to enjoy this park until the tennis court. The people that play tennis take most of the parking spot which isn’t fair for the parents that bring their kids to the park to play.
Couple weeks ago my family and I pay and reserve the picnic area from Grand Prairie parks and Recreation. They had supposed to come out two hours before a picnic and clean up the area. That didn't happen total mess trash cans running over tables and benches dirty somebody had a family picnic the day before and didn't clean it up. We have to run to Dollar General and by brooms and trash cans and clean up the area before our family came for the picnic. Couldn't get nobody at parks and Recreation to answer what happened. Waited for manager or supervisor to call me back 6 weeks later nothing!!! Poor customer service. So if you pay in reserve an area don't believe them that they're cleaning up for you. Plan on coming early and clean it up yourself. The pictures welcome black trash bags against the wall has what we cleaned up before we have to get started. And the other pictures are how we left the area once we were finished....
