Das Rec

This is a great gym. I mostly come in the evening from 7 to when it closes at 9. At 7 the machines are a little crowded but by 8 people start to leave. I like that there are wipes so you can wipe off the machine when you are done using it. I highly recommend the machines, weights, treadmills, running track, pools and basketball court. The pictures are showing all around Das Rec but I didn't get any pictures of the pool. The staff are so kind and have helped me on several occasions. 10/10 would recommend!!

We love this place. We book kid care the day before and have never had any issues with our kids in kid care. We can always find equipment. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the facility is clean! The only thing we wish for is that a there were more spots fo kids sports. I check the website and fliers regularly but all the spots for kids sports and swim lessons fill up very quickly.

Been a member of many gym types, from small mom & pop garages, to large corporations, to one run by AFSOC. Das Rec is a little expensive (I'm in a island that technically isn't NB.), but it delivers. Cardio. Machines. Free weights. Many sports courts. Indoor track. Outdoor exercise area. A large indoor pool with lanes. A second large pool for recreational lanes, a relaxation area, a splash pad for kids, and a water slide. ... And all their fitness in-house classes are FREE!!!! This place is awesome.

Before Friday Oct.10th loved Das Rec even though at times restrooms are often left unattended with wet dirty floors.On Friday went to Das for open swim with my grandkids as I do very often before loved the facility and felt safe inside with lifeguards always on duty I was in clothing not a swim suit the reason a skin cancer I was told not to be in chlorine and I tried to explain to older rude lifeguard not sure his name who called in Brandon (Manager) both very rude stood in my face telling me to leave this was the rules as to witch I had explained I had been plenty times before with no problems never been told this. The older Lifeguard told me they was short staffed and I replayed why are the pools open then!? He ask for my grandson to do a swim test 7 year old to swim length of the pool so he did and almost made it so I told him to put on a vest and he did . Still both life guard and Brandon in my face telling me watching me to leave leave leave I was so nervous and upset I’m still very upset maybe Das should put rules not only on website but post on the walls of swim area as I have seen many parents and grandparents also not in the pool !!! Just very poor management and I am considering termination of my membership !!! I always sit right by my grandkids watching them every second even with the lifeguards and most the young lifegaurds are awsome and friendly unfortunately the older guy is not Brandon and lifeguard also had another red headed guy with them all watching me I’m 52 year old women my grandkids was so upset I was upset I was dropping things as I left very nervous driving home !!! Very disappointed City of NB do better! If lifegaurds are feeling understaffed and not confident pool should NOT be open and I explained if the rules was to swim happily next time I would be swimming with the kids in two years hadn’t never been told till that day!

Love this place.. I am in at 5am and can hit the machines, and it is not that crowded. However, the pool is another story. People fight to get in. They need to open up more time for people who work all day and move the kids' swimming lessons earlier. A complaint I have heard from many. The machines and main workout room are clean, but I have been keeping an eye on the things that are broken. Three machines that you will see women use have been broken for a month, and the one pool heater is still broken. This needs to be fixed immediately. Also, the ladies' locker room floors and shower need to be cleaned better and bleached. Several women complain about it. There are some repairs that need to be addressed. It seems the janitorial at night does not know how to clean, also some showers are missing chairs, missing hooks fir towels. So, the repairs and cleaning in the locker room are the reason for the 3 stars
