Been a member for about two years now, and the hours/programming schedule for the gymnasium are consistently incorrect. Most of my time here is spent waiting, because they don’t have nearly enough weight lifting equipment. Sometimes I can’t even find a place to stretch. Trust me, it’s not worth the membership “deal.” You’re better off just paying more for a different gym.

I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience. This is the third location I have visited in close proximity, from El Cajon Boulevard to Mission Valley and now here. The lack of communication is appalling. It is unacceptable that the jacuzzi renovation was not communicated to me, or to eachother and I was sent to multiple locations instead. Gas prices are ridiculously high for I to have to drive to all these places. . And not to mentioned back PAIN !!! Please communicate with all your facilities

Awesome facilities. Relatively newer than the other YMCA location in San Diego. Can only speak to the group fitness class. It is not crowded and the instructor quality is okay. Unbeatable sunset view from the gym!

During my time as a member there were lots of technical issues ranging from the sauna being broken to the hot water in the showers being down. In addition, I found their app interface to be confusing and unhelpful. When I went to submit a request to cancel my membership via the app I didn't realize nothing happened with that information and the membership never was cancelled. Nor was I sent confirmation that this request was received or acknowledged. To my own fault it took me 2 months to realize I was still being charged. When I requested a refund from Brian I was met with a brick wall of unprofessionalism where he responded to my refund request by charging me for an additional month. Their IT issues and unclear processes became my responsibility to defend and then they just stopped responding. If you don't need adequate customer service then this facility should suit you fine. If you need to cancel your membership, take screenshots. You'll need them in order to get in touch with anyone helpful. So incredibly disappointing.

It's a very nice facility to join as far as indoor gyms go. It has a very nice outdoor pool and jacuzzi area which is very much busy with a huge amount of swimming lanes and swimming lessons and children's activities and all kinds of things like that. One of the nicest things is that it is a new and beautiful facility with a small workout area in general upstairs but it's a very nice workout area and if you are on any type of assistance ... social security or you have food stamps you can apply for a discounted (with a possibility of a complete Grant to cover the entire cost of a membership) membership that is good at all the YMCA's which all are very nice lately .. many of them have been remodeled and they take a lot of time and care to keep these new facilities clean and also they provide many nice amenities. Residents of the County of San Diego are entitled to claim 2 passes a year and so you can try one two times or try two different ones they don't have to be back to back ... you can do one in the spring and one in the fall ... they are very easy going about it and it is a nice way to spend the day especially if you're trying to decide to join a gym! They have nice locker rooms excellent showers excellent bathrooms, and an area to do your hair and get ready for the day if you go before work and a lovely way to wind down after work! The only thing that I thought could be improved was today is not easy to navigate at this particular YMCA your way through reserving a basketball court or finding a class it's a little bit chaotic the way the workout area is upstairs and it's not very large, but I'm sure that the staff would be able to help with any of those questions.
