Court 16 Manhattan-FiDi – Tennis & Pickleball

Good place to start to learn but one coach, Nicky, was difficult to work with. Her manner was borderline patronizing, at one point correcting me pointedly because I tried to make use of a ball tube to pick up balls that weren’t the right size. I have a double hip replacement so my instincts are to use whatever implements are available to me to make things easier. She even chastised me for putting it back upside down. This was followed by questioning me on whether I was in the right class (I was promoted from the intro class to adult beginner). None of this was necessary, all of it was embarrassing. I’ll be back but will not take class with this coach unless nothing else is available. Addendum: Following my original two star assessment of Court 16, I received a response from management immediately. The measure of a business is its customer service and Court 16 deserves praise for its handling of customer complaints. Also to be commended are most of its coaches (Phil, Sophia) and staff who approach a beginner with skill but also patience and professionalism.

Just finished my first tennis class and I’m thrilled! Such a friendly, welcoming team and an amazing coach. The lesson was fun, dynamic, and well-structured. Will be back!!

Court16 tennis lessons has become one of the best parts of my week over the past 1.5 years. It's a fun way to learn tennis with people similar age and skill level, the staff is so friendly and welcoming (shoutout to Phil and Max!), and not to mention a great workout. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience - the club is beautiful (and perfectly air conditioned which I appreciate during this heat wave) and the instructors are incredible - so patient and obviously knowledgeable. Both my children have enjoyed summer camps here and have gained such a strong foundation in tennis that it motivated me to take lessons as well so I can play alongside them. Thankful for this experience and this club!

My go to Happy tennis place in NYC! I LOVE Coach Greg and my only complaint is he can't be cloned. He is very popular because he is that incredible and booking in advance can be tough with school camps so flexibility and patience are a must. I have learned so much from Coach Greg in a few months and he is the absolute best. The entire staff and team is extremely friendly and nice. 10/10 Highly recommend!
