Carl Schurz Park

This is the park if you want breathtaking views of NYC without the noise. Screw Central Park Reservoir and come here instead. The two times I've been here it's been super quiet. You can actually think in this park compared to all the others. I ❤️ you Carl Schulz Park

Very Dirty and Poorly Maintained Park! It’s really disappointing to see such a dirty park in an otherwise great area and neighborhood. Everywhere you look, there’s garbage, trash, and dog poop — it’s disgusting. The park clearly hasn’t been cleaned or maintained properly for a long time. It’s unacceptable for a public space, especially one where families and kids come to play, to be in such terrible condition. The city needs to take responsibility and clean this park immediately!

Absolutely beautiful park filled with so many activities. I had a privilege of meeting Teddy the Clydesdale horse. Stunning horse and the officers were so friendly.

I walked up the East River walkway to Carl Schurz Park to look around. Beautiful park with playgrounds for kids and adults, benches, grassy areas for sunbathing and paved basketball and pickleball areas. And of course Gracie Mansion, the mayors official residence. All pretty busy today.

Carl Schurz park has all you need for some outdoor fun. With slides, basketball, pickleball, lawns, trees, paths, water sprinklers (in season), dog parks and views of the East River - you can find something fun to do for all ages. There are public restrooms on site. Gracie mansion (the official residence for NYC mayor) borders the park and is interesting to talk around (no public access). And if you want a change in scenery you can hop on a NYC ferry from the nearby 90th street dock, enjoy the views of the city from the river.
