Biltmore Tennis Center

Clearly one of the best Tennis facility in Miami and south East Florida! Very well managed . It offers about 10 lighted hard courts (if you want to play Clay you can go to Salvadore Park 2 minutes away). The biltmore tennis center is actually managed by the city of Coral Gables. The head of the Tennis center has been doing a great job for years, including having built a strong team of experienced and loyal coaches, as well as a very competitive high-performance program for youth players. This tennis center is also the home of a J3 Jr ITF as well as the world renown Orange Bowl! It also has a simple but nice “club house” with drinks, snacks, tennis material, and outdoor seating patio. Of course, the set up next to the Biltmore hotel, the golf course, the surroundings with the beautiful coral gables trees and homes/mansions, make this place very special! Whether you like to okay tennis or have kids looking to start playing, this is a great place!
Tennis Club is fully renovated and getting a lot of use since Covid pandemic. It is a great layout for tennis with fast draining hard courts. Court reservations are available via software Rec Trac (no more Play by Court) thru the City of Coral Gables. You may also call or reserve on site with discount and preferences to residents. Nice hard courts and world class hitting wall under a beautiful banyan tree with viewing areas for tournaments above court and on ground. Courts are located behind the Biltmore Hotel with free parking for tennis patrons. Facility is well run by Director of Tennis Robert Gomez. He has great junior programs and high performance training for elite players. Play some tennis and have a drink a short walk away at the Biltmore Hotel pool after tennis. Now you are talking!
Very poorly run facility which is a shame since it is so beautiful. Gomez is impossible to get a response from despite multiple attempts over months. I have seen them discriminate against people multiple times. The staff all say different things and are quite rude. There are much better facilities in Miami with more professional staff.
Biltmore Tennis Center is a beautiful facility. Excellent courts easy parking and great instructors. The downside of this place is more than half the time there is someone power washing or bleaching or doing some sort of maintenance right near the court. It’s impossible to hear my instructor, which is frustrating when I’m paying $90 an hour to hear what he says.
Terrible experience dealing with the organizer Mr. Gomez; He is an incredibly rude man without any empathy. It's not the first time I've dealt with him, and each time is worse. He doesn't have a good demeanor; he raises his voice when speaking so bad…He shouldn't work with children. It's terribly frustrating to pay so much money and put up with these kinds of people. It's a shame because it's very close to home and it's a fairly pleasant place
