Ashburn Recreation & Community Center

The management is excellent – they truly work like a beehive, organized and dedicated. The basketball court is beautiful, spacious, and well-equipped. The fitness center is also modern and complete, though its location on the second floor is not ideal; in case of injury or emergency, safe and quick assistance could be difficult. The adult pool is wonderful and fully equipped. However, the children’s pool is very small and lacks interactive features. The seating for parents is also uncomfortable – the benches are hard with wooden backs, which feels more like a penalty than a place to relax 😅. There is only one birthday party room, which feels limited for such a center. Overall, while the design inside and out is modern and impressive, the overall scale does not match the level of Loudoun County, which should be among the very best. I truly wish the children’s pool here could take inspiration from the Chantilly branch, which offers great activities and an engaging environment for kids. That would make this center not only modern in design but also more family-friendly and complete.

The New Ashburn Recreation Center is truly a world-class facility! From the moment you walk in, you can tell a tremendous amount of thought went into creating a space that’s clean, modern, and welcoming for all ages. The amenities are outstanding—spacious fitness areas, top-tier equipment, bright studios, and plenty of room even during peak hours. The highlight for me is the aquatic center. The pool is immaculate, beautifully designed, and perfect whether you’re swimming laps, relaxing, or bringing the family for some fun. Temperature, cleanliness, and lifeguard presence are all consistently excellent. The water play features and separate lanes make it easy for everyone to enjoy the space without feeling crowded. Staff members are friendly, attentive, and genuinely seem to enjoy being there. The entire facility feels safe, organized, and extremely well-maintained. Whether you’re into fitness, recreation, or simply looking for a great community hub, the New Ashburn Rec Center exceeds expectations on every level. Highly recommend—Ashburn knocked it out of the park with this one!

Ashburn Recreation Center is a fantastic place for staying active and having fun. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and very spacious. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. I especially love the sports areas—great courts and a lively, positive atmosphere. It’s a wonderful spot for individuals, couples, and families alike. Whether you’re coming to exercise, play sports, or just enjoy the community vibe, this place delivers. Highly recommend to anyone in the Ashburn area looking for a great recreation center!

The facility is really nice, but they allow unlimited memberships, which often makes it very crowded. It's hard to find a workout machine or a basketball spot. They don't seem to monitor the number of people using the facility in the same time which can make it unsafe. Surprisingly, people from places like South Riding, Leesburg, and Fairfax come to use the facilities more than residents from Broadlands and Ashburn. Staff is really good but seems like management focus is to collect more membership and guests fees They also don’t have any rules for limited time so anyone gets on the machines and use it for more than half an hour

Brand new Aug 2025. This place is huge and amazing! Plenty of room to swim laps, play court sports like basketball and pickleball. Take the family at least 1 time to enjoy the pool area that has splashpad type fun and a large area that is only about 9 inches deep, a basketball hoop for shooting while in the water, and a lazy river. 3 sizes of life jackets are available for non swimmers to use. There is a large hot tub right next to the pool for 16 years and older. The locker rooms are very nice and there is a large family locker room with a dozen or so changing rooms and the same number of private bathrooms. The upper viewing areas are very to nice also. They have a huge selection of workout machines and free weights. There is a 3 lane track on the top level also. Parking is usually plentiful but might be tight on a swim meet day.
